My dad got his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and his Master's in Computer Science :]] My mom's a software engineer and my aunt is an accountant...... This is an interesting piece of information. xD

I think it's because chemical engineering majors usually go into very high-tech, difficult jobs (it's literally rocket science!). And so their employers have to pay them well because the jobs require a lot of both knowledge and effort.
